Homebound Ministries
We reach out to our members who can no longer attend church because of declining health issues through our Homebound Ministries. Volunteers visit the Insiders about once a month and make a phone call weekly, if possible. Because situations and locations change frequently, we always need new volunteers. We try to connect visitors to someone close or at least in the same general part of the metropolitan area. We provide devotional materials to be taken and we send a monthly card to our Insiders.
Prayer Ministry
Take heart and be encouraged! The Prayer Ministry is praying daily for God to bless you and every member and ministry of our congregation. Our team prays daily over the needs presented to us through the prayer request cards we receive Sunday morning, the messages left on the prayer phone line (918.699.0158), and forwarded to us from Sunday school class prayer chains. We welcome additional prayers at any time. Just find a prayer request card in the pew back, and check your desire to join us.
Telephone Team
We attempt to make follow-up calls to those who have recently gone home from a hospitalization, who are experiencing a long recuperation, who are recently bereaved, and we occasionally check on those who we have not seen in church for a long time.
Note Writers
A few dedicated care team members write notes of comfort and support to the bereaved reminding them of our love and prayers.
Cancer Care
Keeping current literature in the church library, providing support and help to cancer survivors and their families as individual situations dictate, the Cancer Care Team will try to add to the caring efforts of Sunday school classes and other relational groups caring for those going through treatments.
