Senior High Chapel Choir members on tour ham it up while visiting the Statue of Liberty in New York City.

The high school years are ones of change as young people begin to make more of their own choices and life paths. Boston Avenue's Senior High Youth (9th-12th Grades) strives to provide activities and ministries that are cool and also life changing, in positive ways. Our goal is to provide a place for you to learn of God's great love for you, to share this love with others and to find your purpose in life.

We invite high school age students to join us and become a part of our social interactions, small groups , missions, music and drama groups, Reconciliation Council Ministries, outings, retreats and camps while learning biblical principles for life. Bring your friends and join us on our journey!

BAUMC Senior High Sunday SchoolSenior High Sunday School is held on Sunday mornings from 9:40 to 10:40 am on the fourth floor of our main building. All senior high meet in Room 420 for refreshments, announcements and joys and concerns then break into smaller classes.

Your interests and needs are diverse so we offer you a choice of classes at 9:40 a.m. Class sizes are limited so first choices are not always available but we make every effort to work with each youth to get the class that best suits their interests and needs.

Youth are asked to make a commitment to attend a specific class for each session. The commitment is important to the youth and leaders of the class. Facilitators use our United Methodist Curriculum in these option based classes. Each class is designed to help youth in their journey of faith.

Senior High Small Groups

Imagine laughing and talking about your week while working on a beaded necklace. Or, playing a full throttle game of basketball and then sitting down with your Christian brothers to talk about where your faith was challenged during the week. Maybe you are looking for a group to engage in a serious Bible study? Groups will meet once a month for approximately 1 1/2 hours-2 hours. Groups will select their own topics to study with their leaders. It will be the highlight of your week!!!

TEEN TRIALOGUE
Our 15th Annual Youth Interfaith Trialogue Series, bringing together teens from the Christian, Jewish, and Muslim faith traditions for focused discussions on religion, was held in February and early March, 2008. The Teen Trialogue series provides an opportunity for high school students from the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim faith traditions to meet in consecutive sessions to learn about other religions. In the process, participants strengthen their own faiths and develop new friendships. Each of the sessions focuses on a specific topic. Over 40 of our Boston Avenue Youth participated this spring.
