May 25-29, 2008 — For students entering Grades 2nd – 6th (Fall of 2008); Join in the fun of serving United Methodist lay people and clergy from all around the state as our BA youth group turns our Community Hall into a CAFÉ for a week. Lots of fun and hard work for all. A schedule will be given to you once you register and let us know which days you are available.
“Misson On The Move"

June 23–26 from 9:00-11:45 am — BA's four-day mission camp that runs concurrently with Vacation Bible School and involves four Mornings of Community Service for Fall 2008 5th-6th Graders;
Youth and leaders will meet each day in the South Parking Lot outside of Jubilee Hall where we will travel to places like the Tulsa Community Food Bank, Methodist Manor, and Daycenter for the Homeless. We will participate in service projects designed with our 5th and 6th graders in mind. This will be a great time of fellowship and learning to serve others. Youth are welcome to have their friends enroll with them for these four days of service to the community. Advance registration is required since we need to have transportation reserved. Open House for everyone Thursday evening, June 26th, 7:00 p.m. with video of each day's project.
Sixth graders are eligible to attend Sixth Grade Camp at Camp Egan and JEM Camp at Canyon Camp. Both camps are United Methodist Conference Camps. JEM is a leadership camp and requires a recommendation from the youth director or minister.
J.E.M. Camp

June 9-13 — For students entering Grades 6, 7 and 8 at Canyon Camp; THEME: The Journey J.E.M. (Junior High Effectiveness Ministry) Camp uses the model of teaching leadership skills to United Methodist youth through active participation. Small groups will participate in the low ropes course at Canyon and a variety of leadership skill workshops are a part of this camp. J.E.M. Camp offers training to Junior Highs in leadership and is designed specifically with the Junior High youth in mind. It is the goal of this camp to develop leadership skills at the Junior High level that can be used immediately, and naturally progress to the training provided by CYME for Sr. High youth. J.E.M. has many unique events, including a spectacular banquet. We will discover our leadership skills through group dynamics, low rope elements, individual reflection and small group process. Participants at J.E.M., must be recommended or invited by their youth minister, and their senior pastor. A signature is required from both of these persons on the registration form before a camper will be allowed at camp. . Registration forms are downloadable and available in the education office. Music and Drama Camp

June 16-19, 2008 – 9:00 am-2:30 pm with closing Concert on June 19th at 7:00 pm. — For students entering Grades 2nd – 6th (Fall of 2008); Campers will sing beautiful music, ring handbells/choir chimes, prepare and perform a musical drama, and enjoy indoor/outdoor recreation.
God Is In Our Midst, Sixth Grade Camp
July 7-11 — For students entering Grade 6 at Camp Egan; THEME: God in our Midst Acknowledging the uniqueness of pre-teens, this special camp for rising sixth graders is designed to help “t’weeners” explore the concept that God is always with us. Using the natural settings of our campsites, a variety of group experiences, Scripture, and stories from the life of St. Francis, campers are challenged to seek and find God in the natural world around them, in other campers and the community they form, and within themselves. This is a week where campers, in the company of a partner from their own church (when possible), will expand their world by interacting in cabins and small groups with adults and peers from churches across the state. . LIT credit can be used but must be requested. All registrations must be fully completed and returned to Debbie Aycock in order to be enrolled in your camp selections.

Tulsa District Junior High Camp (Description)
June 14-18 — For students entering Grade 7th-8th at Camp Egan; Join us for a 7th and 8th grade only camp. We will enjoy river hikes, swimming, singing, volleyball, small group discussions, hands-on spiritual growth, crafts, a karaoke party and a variety of fun activities. Awesome worship will be lead by Guy Langston and the Dean is Debbie Peterson and Assistant to Dean is Dianne Woolsey. Registration forms are downloadable and available in the education office.. Wilderness Camp (Description)
June 19-25 — For students entering Grade 7th-8th at Canyon Camp; Wilderness Camp is a unique seven day, six night adventure to create a Christian community while living in the out-of-doors. Campers come from all over Oklahoma. It’s OK to come to this camp by yourself. It is a challenging adventure to develop personal skills, specifically how to listen to others, how to express your own needs and ideas, the need to care for the group, and the struggle to make group decisions. Each group of eight to ten youth and two adult campers will plan their own meals, hikes and activities in the colorful, historic Wilderness Canyons. There are no classrooms, but youth will teach themselves many things, among them, how to build a campfire and cook out-of-doors. 7th – 12th Youth Force Tulsa 2008 (Description and Registration forms – Travel Release form)
June 22-27 — For youth 7th-Graduated Seniors In Tulsa (housing at Oral Roberts University) – Maximum is 15-register soon. Whether it’s giving a home a new coat of paint, fixing a leaky faucet or sharing the love of Jesus with elderly and disadvantaged families in our state, youth and adults will be united in mission this summer at Youth Force. An active, hands-on experience, Youth Force is Oklahoma’s premier mission event for teens. Registration fee includes all meals, lodging Sunday evening through Friday morning, project supplies and expenses, recreation, worship, training materials and a Youth Force t-shirt. Registrations are processed in a first come, first served basis and spots will fill quickly. Registration forms are downloadable and available in the education office. (Please do not register through the conference.)

The Great Unknown (Description and Registration form - Travel Release form)
August 4-6 — for Grades 7 – Graduating Seniors. Come and be the hands and feet of Christ as we spend two night living here at Boston Avenue Church and spending our daytime hours in service to others in the community. Where you go will be a surprise, what you feel and see may be new to you too. Join us for a GREAT TIME!!
L.I.T.
Leadership is taught and encouraged for our mid-high youth. In 7th grade youth can enter our Leaders in Training program. Working in the nursery, helping with VBS, Night Owl Camp, Respite, Advent Worship, Easter Egg Hunt for children are some of the options. Specific projects as directed by Debbie are also part of the LIT program. When qualified to be part of this Leadership Team, credit is given for each hour of service that can then be used towards any church activity.

C.Y.M.E. Camp
June 22-27, 2008 — For students entering the 9th grade - graduated seniors at Cross Point Camp; This camp is serious business with non-stop intensity and excitement. It will push you to the limits of Christian community, leadership skills, discipleship, peer ministry and hearing your call in Christ. In addition to the ropes course, we will also be learning how to rappel. Eligible youth for C.Y.M.E. may be local church youth leaders/officers, C.Y.M.E. youth members (Conference Council on Youth Ministries), District youth leaders/officers, youth members of District or Conference Design Teams. Requires that youth be pastor or youth worker recommended. Ask Audra for more details.

Sr Hi Trek Camp
July 18-26, 2008 — For 9th grade - graduating seniors; This nine day/eight night trek is different from any you will EVER attend. There are no buildings or cabins to sleep in. On this trek we will live on the trail in shelters and or backpacking tents we put up ourselves. We cook with camp fires and portable backpacking stoves.
Anytown, Oklahoma 2008
July 27 - August 2, 2008 at Camp Takatoka near Lake Ft. Gibson; Anytown promotes self-esteem, good citizenship, and leadership in an atmosphere steeped in rich diversity. Incoming sophomores, juniors, and seniors are elibilble for this award-winning, statewide human relations camp. Contact the OCCJ office for additional information by calling 583.1361.
The Great Unknown – A Mystery Mission Camp
August 4-6 for Rising 7 th grade-Graduated Seniors. You never know where sharing the love of God may take you. Each day brings new opportunities. Pack your bags and come and live at Boston Avenue for a few days. You never know what each day will bring or where we might go to live out the gospel. During this camp you will participate in hands-on missions that make a difference in the Tulsa community. Each evening we will celebrate the day with fun activities and late night festivities! Living together at the church will make new friends and grow closer together as a Boston Avenue family.
